Ep. 126 KISS Stories from Someone Who Worked at Universal

Episode 126, May 12, 2015. We are joined by special guest Jay Gilbert who brings us MANY KISS stories from his time working at Universal Music and Sanctuary Records. We start back in 1977 and talk a show when Peter Criss was to sing Beth and a Beatles tune started to play. We talk about Paul Stanley’s rare 1978 solo records in store in Seattle. A Hot In The Shade industry meet and greet is discussed. Being invited by Ken Sharp to visit Gene Simmons’ house and finding out Gene was not aware you were coming. Behind the scenes at Sanctuary Records and the preparation for the Symphony album. Finally we end back at Universal and working directly with Paul Stanley on his Live To Win solo album. So many stories from Jay Gilbert!!
